Got myself an address for the next month in Coromandel - pen pals, bring it!
The other 5 WWOOFers here are rad. Most of note is Gemma, an Irish woman my age who very strangely became the WWOOFer at the yoga studio I ran away from when I first arrived in NZ. We had a good laugh about that; she thought the peeps were crazy in the same ways I did, but came along just before they jetted to Australia, so she got to do the month-long housesit at their phat pad, and she thanked me for that.
I tend to love things (albums, people, places) a whole bunch straight away, and then see them more clearly over time, but this place has a real strong energy field (can't quite put it into words yet) and I think I'll see the month through.

I'm still following along- I love the bubble I enter into when I read your words, it takes me away from everything predictable, mechanical and uncomfortable that seems to define so much of life in the US-so why can't we love our homeland? it makes me so happy to know you took the plunge to embrace your oversea adventures... enjoy your next month-you never live the same day twice!
